Every year, some VIA programmes with both summer and winter intakes receive more applications for the summer intake than there are places available. In these cases, the study places are allocated through a digital draw.
Your grades, gender and age cannot be considered when your study start is allocated.
Did you not get your preferred study start?
If you applied for the summer intake but were offered a place for the winter intake, you can join a waiting list to swap your study start.
When you receive your offer for a study place on 28 July, you will also receive information about how to join the waiting list. Please note that you will only receive this information after you have accepted the study place offered to you, as it is the study place you have been offered, you would be swapping.
The waiting list places you in a queue to swap your study start. Places on the waiting list are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is important to join the waiting list as soon as possible.
NB! It is not possible to swap study start for tuition paying non-EU Ä¢¹½TVÊÓƵ.
Special circumstances
In exceptional circumstances, a study start may be allocated based on special criteria. If you wish to apply for a study start based on special criteria, you must send a message via NemStudie no later than 12.00 noon on 5 July.
If we determine that your circumstances meet the special criteria, we will try to allocate you your preferred study start.
Find information about study starts on the individual programme pages. See the list of programmes.
